Description of Project: The Sioux Falls Public Safety Training Campus is a $55 million, state-of-the-art hub for law enforcement, fire rescue, and emergency services. Spread over 42 acres, it includes six buildings with a combined total of over 100,000 square feet, providing a top-of-the-line training environment to create lifelike scenarios. These facilities include a six-story burn tower, 15-lane indoor shooting range, two two-story Class A burn buildings, a 40,000-square-foot training and emergency response dispatcher building, and a 17,450-square-foot maintenance building. Not only do officers and firefighters gain hands-on experience to prepare for real-world challenges, but also the campus provides opportunities for collaboration among different departments and partners that will help support Sioux Falls and surrounding communities for years to come.
